PURELY PICNICS VA
Located in Northern Virginia's Wine Country.
Q. What's included in a Purely Picnics VA package?
A. The Perfect Picnic Package includes a choice of theme and location, blanket/rug ground cover, fully-set, low-lying, handcrafted wood table, comfortable throw pillow seating, disposable napkins and flatware, personalized message sign, side crate with ice bucket and chilled water, reserved area at selected location, delivery, setup, cleanup and more.

-Food: While we do not include food in our base package price, we do offer an assortment of grazing boxes and desserts from local businesses, at an additional charge. You are welcome to bring your own food, unless the location you select does not allow it. We will confirm these details with you once you book your picnic. Note: charcuterie grazing boxes from The Cornichon must be placed 72 hours in advance of your picnic time, so please keep that in mind when making your selection. See packages page for more information and pictures.

-Drinks: sparkling or still water is provided. We do not provide alcohol. The wineries we partner with do not allow outside alcohol to be brought in, but obviously we hope you will be purchasing wine the day of your picnic.

Q. Does Purely Picnics VA Stay during our Picnic?
A. No, we leave after we set up since most picnics are surprises. Once your reservation ends, our team returns to clean up. If you need to contact us during your picnic, you can call or text your Purely Picnics VA Picnic Planner (whose number is provided the day of your picnic) and they can be on site pretty quickly. We do ask that you let us know if you leave before the end of your picnic reservation so that we can clean up promptly.

Q. How far in advance do I need to book?
A. Our schedule fills up quickly and spots are limited, so we highly recommend booking sooner than later. We do request a 72 hour advance notice prior to your booking date. Last minute bookings are not guaranteed, but requests are always welcome. We contact each location prior to your picnic, so the sooner you book, the better. Also, please note that you do not need to make reservations directly with the location - everything is done through us.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. Unfortunately, due to the customization of each picnic package, we don't offer refunds. We are happy to reschedule your picnic provided you contact us 48 hours prior to your reservation. In the event of bad weather, we reserve the right to reschedule any outdoor picnic and will discuss this with you that day. We constantly monitor the weather and will be in touch with you prior to your picnic regarding the possibility of bad weather. Please read below for more information.

No-shows will not be rescheduled or refunded.

Q. What about bad weather?
A. Weather in Northern Virginia can be unpredictable, so we may have to reschedule your picnic due to the forecasted weather. We will contact you, in advance, if your picnic needs to be rescheduled. No refunds will be given if you choose not to reschedule your picnic. Since many of our bookings are made to celebrate a special occasion, we know that rescheduling may not be ideal. It may be possible for us to set up your picnic indoors, so please contact us to discuss alternative arrangements. We are flexible!

Q. Should I include my children in the guest count when booking?
A. Children 5 & under should not be included in the guest count, however place settings and table space will only be provided for the number of guests specified. If you would like place settings and table space for all your guests, there is a $25 fee per person. If you let us know how many children 5 & under are in your party that won't need an actual table space, we will provide disposable plates and utensils at no additional charge. We can also set up a smaller side picnic for your children.

Q. Can I bring my pets to my picnic?
A. Yes! You are welcome to bring your pet(s) unless the location you choose does not allow them. While we love your furry friends, please clean up after your own pet.

Q. Is a two-hour picnic required?
A. Purely Picnics VA packages include a two-hour reservation for your leisure. You are not obligated to stay the entire two hours, however we request that you text your Picnic Planner if you leave your picnic early, so we can respect the location's property. We will text you approximately 15 minutes before your reservation ends to let you know the clean up team is on the way. We recommend a three hour picnic for groups of 9 or more.

Q. Do I need to contact the location?
A. No. Purely Picnics VA makes all the arrangements with the location you choose, so you do not need to call them directly. Please contact us directly with any questions regarding your picnic. We have also listed a web address for each location so you can check out their events, music, menu, etc.

Q. What are your Safety and Cleaning Measures?
A. Your safety and well-being is our top priority! We take all of the necessary precautions to ensure your experience is as safe as possible.

-We follow the policies required at each location and as recommended by local and state government. Individual properties will list any safety requirements on their website.
-Pillows, rugs and blankets are sanitized/cleaned between each picnic.
-All dinnerware, flatware and glassware is washed and sanitized between each picnic.
